Working on a new VR game

2529638_151724640393_escapepod-vr-game.pngHello, everyone!

I wanted to make an udpate about what I am working on right now that I’ve finished YBit.

Along with some co-workers we started making a new VR game that we are using as a practice for Unreal Engine. It is still very empty but we have the hands moving around, most of the base models for the first area (though it hasn’t been added yet so you can’t see it in the image), loads of special materials that we are going to use and the base for some puzzles.

The game, at least for now, will be an escape game in space. The player will have to complete different tasks/puzzles that will let him unlock new areas, though we will first make sure to have one area totally functional, and from there add new areas for the player to make his way through the spaceship to his escape pod

The progress from my side is a bit slow, I don’t have a headset to try out things so I get to do most of the work only one day a week, though the art is going incredibly fast. Hopefully, since my workload is a bit smaller, once I figure out most of the VR movement I will be able to make progress faster.

In other news, we are still (slowly) working on Witchcraft which should have its final release this year. We need to make the final keyboard controls, change the art of the Terram base and work in the new characters. Once we have that, we can focus on details and finally finish it.

I have also started working on two more games, one is a new mobile game and the other one is a game that we are working on with the Happy Ghost Studio team. I will make updates about these ones later.
